Kaminay is an upcoming Hindi film of  India’s most critically acclaimed director ‘Vishal Bharadwaj’ who is famous for his unique HUT KE ideas. As it is obvious from the exclusive film title that this time again vishal is ready to do a lot of experimentation with his work and this assumption is also fully supported by the pairing of Shahid and Priyanka in the main leads who are working opposite each other for the very first time, on the cinema screen. The shooting of the film started in June 2008 and it is expected to be released in March, 2009.Vishal Bharadwaj, a director with a different film philosophy and movies like Maqbool, Omkara and Blood Brothers under his belt, will also compose the music of this film .The story of the film is love oriented with a spice of action. Shahid, the hottest bollywood slab, with a muscular body and innocent lover boy look, is playing the role of a typical bollywood hero, romancing and dating his beloved and hanging out with his lady love sitting close to him on the back seat on a bike. He is playing a double role. One side of the picture portrays him as a gambler in the film who deceits people in money matters. Whereas Priyanka is a Maharastrian girl, who is extremely vocal and verbal and she wants the world not to turn a deaf ear on her voice. She is girl who wants her to be noticed and heard. In Kaminay, Vishal the writer and director of the film has given her enough chances to speak out far and wide screaming with all her lungs involved.
It is reported by a source that film is mostly shot in filmcity in Mumbai but few hero heroine love sequences were also shot in Pune. In one of such scenes Shahid and Priyanka were riding a bike on a muddy slope when the vehicle skidded and both fell down. Both got minor injuries from this sudden unexpected accident. Another surprise package attached to this film is Shahid’s entirely different looks. This time the man is presenting himself as a tanned hot hunk and to achieve this particular look for Kaminay he soaked himself in the sun a lot. The bronze look with all new haircuts in the film is something gathering a lot of hype. He also went under special training for this action packed venture. According to a source Shahid does not want to reveal his new look for the film before the promos of the movie are released so he is hiding himself from media and saying no to all party invitations and not in mood of making any public appearances. To keep this ‘new look’ surprise totally under wraps, he is continuously avoiding the media. With all fresh pairing and a unique title directed by a fairly unique director- one of its kind, Vishal Bharadwaj, one thing is sure to predict that it is going to become a next big thing on the part of both Priyanka and Shahid.
