Director Imtiaz Ali with Saif Ali Khan as a debutant producer make this romantic flick entitled, Love Aaj Kal. The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rishi Kapoor and Rahul Khanna, the film is set in two different times with both interconnected with the characters of Veer Singh and Jai Vardhan Singh.

The movie starts with Saif (Jai Singh) and Deepika (Meera Pandit) breaking up quite happily to continue with their lives and careers, the now friends give a ‘Breakup Party’, a event unheard of, there Saif meets Rishi Kapoor (Veer Singh) a shopkeeper from around the corner who repeatedly tells Saif that he is making a mistake nad also narrates his story. He fell in love with a girl named as Harleen Kaur and then vowed to love her forever, he journeyed hundreds of miles just to catch mere glimpses of her in her balcony.
