In the film New York, Jhon Ibraham is playing the role of Sameer (Sam), Neil Mukesh as Omar, Irfan Khan as Roshan, he is appearing in the film New York as an FBI officer and the most cherished part of the movie New York is of course one and only, bold and beautiful, none other than Katrina Kaif is coming on screen as Maya.

The film is reported to have many crew members from U.S.A. According to the sources from Bollywood , one of the crew member of film Newyork celeberated his birthday at a local night club in New York and he invited the whole film cast and crew to attend the occasion but to invitees bad luck, they were denied entry in the club by the security guards for not having proper identity cards with them. By the time Kat, Ibraham and Mukesh were back with genuine identification the party was over.

The film is mostly shot in New York at public locations and in Philadelphia. During the film New York shooting in Philadelphia, local residents of the city were surprised and harassed by FBI helicopters and SWAT teams appearance  until they exactly came to know about the film shooting and presence of FBI helicopters as a part of it.
