The butterfly and happy go lucky nature of a person named Siddarth Mehra (Sid) has attracted a lot of friends around him. He is a guy whose walk and talk has a reflection of a person who has no worries of the world and a lot of wealth is backing him off to support his idiosyncrasies. Ironically saying, Wake Up Sid is a flash back of your
college and school life when you're very happy go lucky fellow. When coming home late through secret routes, when we call our girl friend and plan a date, when gadgets and parties are all about life for us. It rejuvenates the whole nostalgia. Sid is just like the hip boy who has two fast friends Rishi and Laxmi. Together, they always chill the pop corn moments and hit the town. Sid seldom talks to her mother and pays no shit to the wealth his father has accumulated over years. But things turn out to be progressive when in a birthday party, Sid meets Aisha Bannerjee, a girl who is well-read and disciplined and has come a long distance to Mumbai for pursuing her dreams to become a writer. Aisha and Sid are two contrasting personalities but amazingly they become friends. Sid is the first friend Aisha has made in Mumbai so Sid and his gang helps her establish her life in Mumbai. Some events ring the wake up calls and Sid begins to think over his past. As he ponders, he comes to know that past is something which must not become his future.
Ranbir Kapoor is undoubtedly a great actor and he has acted in complete harmony with the theme of the movie. This movie will surely work out large in box office. The story is great for youth of today.
