The Hindi movie Aashayein will finally hit the theatres in November. Those who cannot go to the cinemas would be able to watch Ashayein movie online also. The release of this John Abraham starrer movie has been delayed since June, 2010 due to the wedding of John’s brother in Romania. Later, it was scheduled to release in July but due to the crowded market, it was further delayed. The movie is written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor and produced by Elahe Hiptoola.
Ashayein stars John Abraham plays the role of a compulsive gambler. Sonia Sehgal plays the role of a sweet, dedicated girl friend who believes that love always wins. The movie has other less known characters such as, Prateeksha Lonkar, Girish Karnad, Farida Jalal and Ashwin Chitale. The movie starts with John winning 20 million in a bet and he throws a party to celebrate. The party is in full swing when he proposes his girl friend, Nafisa (played by Sonia Sehgal). Moment after he proposes her, he collapses on the floor. After the medical check up, doctors tell him that he has a few months to live. John then moves to an asylum where he interacts with different people and forgets about his own pain.
