Eight By Ten, an action venture written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor will surely nominate it as a new dawn in Hindi cinema. The film has high hopes as the entire star cast and the unique story line is making it one of the most talked about flicks of the season 2009.The film is expected to release on 2009 near dewali .Due to some irreconcilable conflicts between the film director Nagesh Kukunoor and Akshay Kumar movie was stucked on the floors but now 8X10 tasveer is expected to hit the cinema screen in late April this year.
8 by 10 Tasveeer – The Story
The story of the film 8 by 10 Tasvir revolves around a man who has super natural mental power and he can predict the past and future of any person just by gazing at his photograph. The role is played offcourse by Akki in tasweer 8 * 10 . This electrifying psychological power transforms his whole life in an amazing and unexpected way. He comes across challenging hard core action adventures that turn his whole life upside down. The opposite in taswer main lead with Akshay Kumar in tasver is gorgeous and beautiful Ayesha Takia , a face not new to the silver screen as she started facing the camera at early age of four. She made her mark in Bollywood with ‘Tarzan The Wonder Car’ and received the Filmfare award of Best Debut Female for that film. In the movie she is playing the role of DIYA who is Akshay’s wife.
It is reported that 8 X 10 Tasveer is basically inspired from Manoj Night Shyamalan’s thriller ‘Unbreakable’. However the chief of Percept Picture Company strictly refuses the idea and says that story and cinematography of Eight By Ten is totally based on an original idea and there are no similarities between the two movies and Eight By Ten is the first movie of its kind in Indian film industry.
Eight By Ten Tasveer – Shooting Locations
The film is mostly shoot in Calgary, Alberta, Canada under the banner of Percept Picture Company. Its title is changed from Tasveer (previous title) to Eight By Ten (working title) by the film director who thought Tasveer was jinxed.
Akshay Kumar a real super hero of Bollywood performed most of the dangerous stunts in the movie himself. Heart beat stopping climax of the film is shot under water with Akshay all tied up with chains. For this scene Akki took special training in Bankok, to learn the tact of survival under water without any breathing apparatus. In another stunt Akshay jumps down from a cliff edge, 160 feet high , into the water below.
The songs in the film is produced and composed by the famous music legend Salim Sulaiman known as music storm in the industry with major all time hit music albums on his part. The film lyrics has three brilliant lyricists – Gulzar, Prasoon Joshi and Javed Akhtar – who create magic with their words and cast a deep long lasting spell. Indeed what makes 8 10 tasveer a worth watching film for the audience is not only its fight sequences and bold stunts but also its music which plays an important role in taking a film to immeasurable heights.
Like all his directorial ventures ,Nagesh Kukunoor a man never reluctant to do experimentation as his movies always follow a different path which is far apart from usual style of typical Hindi movies ,now coming again to amuse his audiences with his adventurous thrill pack in a completely different dimension and facet.
