The movie Kambakth Ishq was originally scheduled to release in December 2009 but the extensive production work in the film Kambakkht Ishq failed to meet the finishing line well in time. Now it is slated for a release on June, 2009.

Talking about the story of the film Kambhakht Ishq, its director Sajid Nadiadwala stated that it is an international love story with all bytes of glitz and glamour and is made on a highly lavish scale. It is seventh time that Akhsay and Kareena are working opposite each other in lead roles and it is a known fact that the couple has all the potential to make a blast on the silver screen.
