It is reported that every big corporate house in the film industry competed hard to buy the film but the victory goes to Reliance Big Pictures. The shooting locations of the film Kites are Mumbai studios and its shooting in abroad highlights major shots in cities of U.S.A like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New Mexico. One of the under water romance sequence in the film along with a beautiful song number is also shot in Maldives. The Maldives fabulous beach location is the most ideal place in the world for the filming of a slow romantic song number. The song will show intense passion and love between beach beauty Barbra and his lover Hiritik in the hindi film Kites.
