After impresssing the global audiences with his Hollywood films like Elizabeth and Elizabeth - The Golden Age, the ace director Shekhar Kapur is gung ho about his latest project which he holds closest to heart titled as paani for which Shekhar has signed on none other than Hrithik Roshan to play the lead role in the film. Shekhar told that once he had just come down from a friends place in Pali Hill, one of the more expensive residential areas in Mumbai where his  friend had him waiting for half an hour while he showered.his friend lived on the 30th floor, and the slum where there was no water was just below his apartment building and this inequity in the most basic resource necessary for human survival set me thinking and a story developed which he named as paani. The futuristic look at Mumbai entitled Paani will probably be the most expensive film Shekhar will produce as it would require a creation of a whole city with two levels, one for the super-rich and the other for the underprivileged. As per news Shekhar is most probably collaborating with UTV for this venture.
