This time he chose an issue related to the farmers which comprise the big power of Nation. The movie is being shot in a village Peepli on a life history of poor farmers who can lead to even suicide due to burden of loans and expenses. Amir presents such a serious issue integrated with comic scenes so that audience should not get bored and try to realize this problem. Story is about a poor farming family which could not bear more loans so they decided to find a way in order to get attention of their government. One of the brothers suggests to commit suicide so that they can get advantage of government program to pay surviving family members and volunteers to commit suicide. This conversation was heard by a news reporter and soon it was spread all over through media. All politicians get to solve their problem in front of media or to gain fame for coming elections but no one wants to know the real situation of their family. One of them donates a hand pump but not interested to get it installed. It was of no use for them and seems like a decoration piece in their house.
